Durability: A patented fastening technology between the barbell and the solid steel core(dumbbell weight head) makes UMAX series solid urethane dumbbells maintenance-free against loosening up. Specially formulated cast polyurethane(CPU) is specially bonded to solid steel cores ensuring at least 6 years protection in heavy usage environments. Extra urethane is used on the front edge of the dumbbells where they receive the most impact. More urethane at this critical point helps absorb the stress of impact that occurs in heavy use environments.

The urethane coating is specially formulated for use in high impact environments and is unsurpassed in the industry for appearance and durability. All logos and numbers are laser engraved then filled with colored urethane that bonds permanently to the coating and will not discolor or peel off. Hard chrome plated handles are standard. The urethane coating on the handles carry a 6 year warranty.
